The New Cincinnati Redleg

Christmas time is here again. It reminds me of my grandma's home cooking and the chance to get cozy by the fireplace and read a good book.
Good books! Among my favorites are "The Litigators" by John Grisham, "The Power of a Whisper" by Bill Hybels, and "Write-A-Thon: Write your book in 26 days and live to tell about it" by Rochelle Melander.
And I can't forget to mention my own, "The Unknown Baseball Player" a delightful story about the average person who rides above  circumstances to fulfill his dream. A story that normally retails for $14.99 is now available for only 99 cents in the Kindle store on Amazon (http://amzn.to/ktuge9). Read the sample below and get your copy for Christmas.

The temperature is seventy-six degrees with a mild breeze. There's lot's to see in Cincinnati, so enjoy your visit. We hope you had a pleasant flight and thank you for flying United"...
After sounding his horn the bright yellow taxicab with the checkered trim was moving away from the curb and weaving through all the other cars toward the highway. "Where to, Mister?"...
The wheels squeaked on Hilda's blue Chevy when she abruptly cut into the right lane, thus allowing her to pass the little yellow bubble. And when Andy turned his head to look at the speeding vehicle, he noticed four stoic elderly school teachers enjoying the ride...
Outside, the boy from Indiana paused to gaze at the huge structure. Goose bumps ran down his spine, as he couldn't take his eyes off the big sign: River Front Stadium.

A recent friend wrote, "David enjoyed reading about the unknown baseball player so much that he couldn't wait to share it with his friends. And in these hard times I'm so grateful to Amazon for making it available as a nice Christmas gift for only 99 cents."
